Academic Stress

Academically and personally, putting too much pressure on yourself can cause unnecessary stress. Personally, I took difficult and high-level classes this year and did not think of how it would affect me emotionally. Knowing mental and emotional limits for yourself is important in keeping stress levels under control. 

Tips: 

  • Make sure you think of how much work you’re signing up for before you commit to an organization, club, or class.
  • Time management and/or making a list of what you need to complete can help you feel motivated to get things done.
  • Knowing when it’s time for you to take a break from your work can relieve stress.
