Mental Health Days

As we all know, school can be very stressful, difficult and exhausting. Sometimes we all need a break from school and to focus on ourselves for just one day. A study has shown that taking a mental health day once every quarter of the year is perfectly healthy and is recommended. For many of us, including myself, we get burned out and overwhelmed by all the responsibilities we have as students. It is also important to communicate when you are feeling stressed and burned out to a counselor or teacher. Personally, I communicate with my family when feeling overwhelmed with school, and sometimes I just need a day off to relax and recharge. Your mental health comes before anything, so the next time you are in need of a break, take a day to focus on yourself!
